What is intellectual wellness?
Intellectual wellness involves recognizing and nurturing our creative abilities while engaging in lifelong learning. It helps prevent, slow, and even reverse cognitive decline, promotes a more balanced and mindful life, inspires curiosity and exploration, and encourages us to become more well-rounded and active members of society.
Intellectual wellness can be strengthened through activities such as traveling to experience new cultures, playing games that stimulate the brain, learning a new language, visiting museums, playing a musical instrument, or attending live performances. These experiences expand our perspectives and keep the mind active and engaged.
Dimensional Wellness supports intellectual wellness by providing continuing education opportunities for professionals, supervision for Virginia LPC residents, and hosting retreats and wellness events that encourage growth, creativity, and lifelong learning.
